London, 19 January 2024. — We are delighted to announce that The Rt Hon. Lord Mountevans will represent Canning House attending the International Gala “Education for Sustainability” as a special guest. 

He is the 4th Baron Mountevans, a British hereditary peer and shipbroker who served as the Lord Mayor of London from 2015 to 2016. Representing the Ward of Cheap in the City of London, he has been involved in various civic roles, including serving as Alderman and Sheriff of London. Fluent in Norwegian, he succeeded to the family title in 2014 and has been an Honorary President of Canning House since 2018.

Canning House is the UK’s leading forum on Latin America. It is a global forum for thought leadership and pragmatic debate on the region’s political, economic, social, health and environmental trends and issues, as well as their implications for business risks and opportunities.

The International Gala “Education for Sustainability” will take place at the Caledonian Club on Friday, 5 April 2024, at 19.00.

The funds collected will be used to finance a select number of projects related to education and sustainability in Latin America.
